At Eli Dagostino’s “Brainsick: The Effects of Mental Illness on Creative Stamina, a Career and Mind” talk, those suffering from mental illness and their allies alike are taken along Eli’s journey navigating Bipolar Disorder. Audience members are taught the twelve things he learned on his journey to health. As a multi-passionate creative entrepreneur with big dreams and aspirations, a diagnosis so heavy and the introduction of such powerful mediations took a toll on Eli’s life. Now on the other side of an eight month fire, in Brainsick, Eli shares the triumphs one can expect from one’s dedication to their health.
Eli got his diagnosis while touring with the broadway production of Hamilton for two years. In Brainsick, Eli shares the highs, lows and bumps in the road which shaped his unique journey. On tour, Eli’s special circumstances caused the adaptation to mental illness to be quite different than most’s. He learned many unique lessons which he shares in Brainsick. Attendees will leave inspired and more equipped to navigate their mental illness or assist someone close to them suffering. Through on-on-one interactive participation, guests will have a chance to let their vulnerability breath alongside Eli’s and learn more about their friends’ and neighbors’ health needs and aspirations.
