Eli Dagostino leaves his small-town life on Martha’s Vineyard to pursue his dream of being a professional photographer in New York City, where he finds love and happiness. When his partner Garrett is offered an exciting new job — as the stage manager on the U.S. tour of the mega Broadway sensation, Hamilton — the two young men jump at the thrilling opportunity. They sell everything and leave the big apple with their pup Spoon to embark on the adventure of a lifetime.

In Eli’s memoir, the underbelly of transient living is rivetingly revealed, along with wild and often hilarious behind-the-scenes peeks and glimpses of Hamilton’s touring production. The tour is not what Garrett and Eli bargained for. Moving to a new city every four weeks proves to be a debilitating grind. As the months unfold, Eli wages a battle with a ruthless mental illness and his once-idyllic relationship with Garrett teeters toward collapse.

A classic coming-of-age story in many ways, but with much more at stake, the book takes the reader on a road trip of emotional uncertainty, material struggle, crushing psychological drama and an inspiring arrival at wisdom. Chronicling his first twelve months traveling with Garrett, during which they lived in Seattle WA, Portland OR, Salt Lake City UT, Costa Mesa CA, Las Vegas NV, Des Moines IA, Cleveland OH, Minneapolis MN, Charlotte NC, Durham NC and Greenville SC, Eli’s story is for the adventurer, the romantic, the joy-seeking creative and those burdened with mental illness.

Eli is currently seeking an agent to represent his debut memoir.
